Every spring thousands of college students from across the state of Texas, join at the Guadalupe River for The Texas Sigma Alumni Association’s River Raft Race. The 18th Annual River Raft Race will be held on April 30th, 2011. This event started 17 years ago with 10 rafts and 60 people and has grown to over 450 rafts and over 2500 co-eds. The River Raft Race event has ALWAYS been hosted by the Sigma Alpha Epsilon – Texas Sigma Alumni Chapter. River Raft Race IS the social event of the year for Central Texas and for businesses this is a prime opportunity to advertise and market their products and company.

This year, just as in past years, portions of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. In the past The Texas Sigma Alumni Association has donated over $10,000 to charitable organizations.
